BLS Part 2 and 3 skills testing are the hands-on portions after completing Part 1 online. You must purchase Online Part 1 by going to AHS BLS Heart Code

This portion of the course must be completed prior to attending your in-person skills testing session. Participants must bring their Part 1 completion certificate with them to the skills class.

HeartCode® BLS Online is a self-paced eLearning program that provides comprehensive Basic Life Support education using adaptive learning technology. The system creates a personalized learning experience that adjusts to each learner’s progress and performance throughout the course.

Designed for healthcare professionals who require BLS training as part of their clinical responsibilities, the program combines multiple learning tools including scenario-based videos, interactive exercises, knowledge checks, illustrations, and cognitive assessment activities. These elements help reinforce both the knowledge and decision-making skills needed to respond to real-world emergencies.

Because the course is self-directed, learners may progress through the material at their own speed while receiving immediate feedback and coaching after assessments and activities.

After successfully completing the online cognitive portion and the required in-person skills evaluation, participants will be issued an American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard, which is valid for two years.
