BLS Provider Renewal Course
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Renewal Course is designed for healthcare professionals who currently hold an American Heart Association BLS Provider certification that is approaching expiration and require renewal.
Course Overview
This course follows the latest 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and is conducted entirely in a classroom setting with an AHA-certified instructor.
The BLS Renewal course provides a focused review of critical lifesaving skills and updates healthcare providers on the most current resuscitation science and practices. Participants will reinforce their ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver effective ventilations, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as part of a coordinated resuscitation response.
Students participate in instructor-led instruction, hands-on skill stations, and simulated clinical scenarios to refresh and validate their competence in lifesaving techniques.
Prerequisites
Participants must currently hold a valid (or soon-to-expire) American Heart Association BLS Provider certification in order to enroll in this renewal course.
Intended Audience
This course is intended for healthcare providers who must be able to perform CPR and other lifesaving skills in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital environments. Participants commonly include EMS personnel, nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals who require BLS certification for their role.
